Wow!! Trips are the most amazing thing that happens. It's a big
break from the mad ruckus world we put ourselves in, day in and day
out.
This trip was absolutely amazing, it went beyond my anticipation
and my adventure spirits were all pumped up to seek the joys of travelling. It
begun from Kolkata and started with a "not confirmed ticket" in hand.
Which finally got made with three people sitting on their respective systems to
book one ticket. Anyways, ENTER KOLKATA: Unplugged my luggage and started my
exploration. I indulged myself into the street trip down the memory
lane, long lost. Bhel, phuchka and more phuchka, kolkata roll, I guess
there was no stopping. Even as I speak I guess I can just remember the mouth
watering taste of puchka and the streets of Calcutta, a little humid, loads of
people on the road, busy in reaching somewhere, their destinations, a little
vague.
Just weirdly for no reason at all I do love hanging in Park Street
a lot, going to Flurry's sitting down and having a conversation over coffee and
packing away loaf's of bread for home. I just can't get over food, can I??
But then yes met loads of people over there, some venturing and
saying new hellos!! Some reviving the spirit of Kolkata and running deep as
depth could be and of-course the old charm of bumping into someone
familiar as I wandered in the streets of Kolkata. Loved it with an absoluteness
that I know somewhere the roots that belong to the city of birth won't come off
age.
So well bags packed and from here on-wards it was time
for the second step/agla padhav of my holiday. So the next destination was
Vishakapatnam/Volataire and yup a more hipppieeeeee and happening name to
it.....VIZAGgggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah Entry and exit has to be with a
lot of drama, so the exit from Kolkata didn’t lack any drama. I was 10 kgs on
the heavier side of weight carrying. The trauma that baggages create at Airport
or life is endless, the sooner you do away with them the better it is. Anyway
leaving aside all the details and saga of hassles it was an amazing flight
journey with full view of "Bay of Bengal" making me super excited to
enter the city.
ENTER VIZAG: This place is unbelievable or may be it just soothed
my suddenly developed taste of cities with ‘Water’ flowing in it.
"Paani jidhar bhi ho woh jagah achi lagti hai". So well my expedition
urf exploration begun. The house, my relatives abode was right in
front of the beach. Whoa!!! Nothing could be more beautiful than
sitting in front of the beach and spending all day with the sky
dripping all day.
Gosh!!! Here in Delhi the only thing that we miss is "Rainy
Season", the entire familiarity of Kolkata, of waking up and watching
rain, of coming back and puddling on rain goes missing residing in Delhi. This
city just doesn’t rains, it either 'pours' or is 'extremely hot or cold'.
So well coming back to Vizag, things become interesting when you
have interesting company they say. And company I had a funtastitc one.
Few things that I absolutely love are baarish, beach, book, bench
and bombastic music. Aha!! Demand kuch kam nahi hai. No I guess it was
absolutely mind blowing putting together all of them.
So here I was with an amazing book by Santosh Desai, ever since I
have picked that book I have been recommending it like I was the publicist of
it. But then what you appreciate is what you recommend and there is no denying
of that.
I wish that I could do surfing but then let's leave few things for
next times.Things that I actually did with fantastic company of an amazingly
cute couple was: Went to the beach, tried my hand on cycling, had 'Vizag wallah
puchka', ate italian and absolutely loved it, tried to take food inside movie
hall, watched morning show, tried to understand somebody else's dream project,
heard children being taught, loads of conversation inbetween. All in all, just
loved the entire experience. And most of all reflected on a lot of things,
broadened my thought, let it loose from the tight bolts of thinking things in
one way. And the result!!! Phewww!!!!! Was good enough. After all perspectives
widen while looking at it from different angles. Such is life!!
I guess the best part of the trip was this place,
although all places had its own uniqueness but then this one just
stood out.
So anyway before I start ranting on and on, it
was time for me to pack my bags and move to the next destination, Hyderabad. So
well after too much of speculation on Tatkal ticket’s making, cancelling and
re-making it again in Tatkal was an activity. I finally started my evening
journey from Vizag to Hyderabad.
Enter Hyderabad/ Secunderabad: The place is
filled with memories of summer vacations being spent here although of
course the rocks that we used to climb as kids are all cut now. But then
growth has its own ways of entering life.
So well, nopes, I was not sitting and reminiscing,
I was actually hopping from one place to another. And like all places I
travelled I couldn’t skip the puckha's over here. So well pucka hunting we had
gone. But most of all it was meeting cousins, catching up, understanding again
somebody else’s dream projects, pepping up, trying different places with uncle
and aunt and speculating on Tatkal ticket like a stock market share with loads
of investment done on it. Darn I tell you!! And the next day I see an article
in the typical media hyped up way "Tatkal ticket booking, ka khulasa".....!!
All in all, I had a funtastic time. Life does
come with snippets of surprises. And after all "Change is always a good
thing". Back in Delhi anxiously waiting for the weekend to begin!! :)!!
